Training courses are regularly scheduled throughout New Zealand and Australia.

The lead presenter is Margi Leech, a teacher, educational consultant and parent of children with learning disabilities. She is the distributor and leading trainer for Numicon in NZ and Australia.

There are also trainers in Australia- NSW-Sydney, Coff's Harbour, Lismore, ACT- Canberra, QLD- Brisbane and Cairns. Please contact us for their information.

Training courses can be arranged in your area for as few as 4 people.  Please contact us if you would like further information.

The training workshops give the background information-the rationale of Numicon, as well as practical, hands-on activities where you will be shown how to use the equipment. You will also learn how to address the learning challenges of children with special needs. The training also gives insight and opportunities to use Numicon for all children in the classroom. This programme works well with NUMPA.

Numicon training ensures that Numicon is used to its best advantage, releasing its potential to transform children’s attitude to maths and significantly increase their achievement. Margi delivers interactive training, giving direct experience of Numicon activities and insight into the underpinning theory. It gives teachers a chance to reflect on their pedagogy, and supports them in processing new and challenging ideas. We aim for participants to feel inspired, confident and keen to start using Numicon straight away whether in the classroom, in support groups or one-to-one.

Trainers' Workshops

Demand is growing for more schools and families for Information sessions and to have Numicon courses.

 If you are a teacher, have been using Numicon and enjoying its success AND want to share this with others then come to a workshop. You will be equipped to train others in your school, group, organisation and make it your own business if you desire.
